Mr. McMartin joined the Beaudry, Bertrand team in November 1981 and is a partner since 1985.

As an experienced lawyer, he has participated in several commercial and real estate transactions in the Outaouais region. He has developed an expertise in litigation, which leads him to regularly appear before the court. He is involved in many major trials. Mr. McMartin is always available and diligent. He has a very practical approach with his clients and encourages alternative dispute resolution methods. He aims the best possible results in a quick and professional manner.

Education

Mr. McMartin obtained his law degree from the University of Ottawa (1980) and was admitted to the Quebec Bar in 1981. In 1986, he obtained a master’s degree in business law from the University of Ottawa.

Interests

Mr. McMartin is a great sportsman. He has climbed Kilimandjaro in December 2006, the Aconcagua in Argentina (the highest mountain in America) in January 2008, Mount Elbrus in Russia in July 2010 (the highest peak in Europe) and Mont Blanc (Chamonix) in June 2013. He has participated in many cross-country ski Loppets, namely the Gatineau Loppet (55 km), the Vasalopet (90 km) in Sweden in 2009, the Birkebeiner (55 km) in Norway in 2013, the Dolomitenlauf (42 km) in Austria in 2014, the Marcialonga (70 km) in Italy in 2014 and the Fossavatn (50km) in Iceland in 2016. Also, he successfully completed the Canadian Ski Marathon (160 km) in 2010 (bronze) and silver (2015).
